DeltaTech-Korea(DTK) led the officials of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and Korea Energy Management Corporation to visit the Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne, Paul Klee Center, Mercedes Benz Museum, and ISH Exhibition from 8 March to 14 March of 2015. This study tour was arranged to help the government’s plan of establishing a convention center of energy. DTK helped the officials to experience operational structure and know-how of modern conventional buildings in the countries so that they can benchmark the up-to-date knowledge of exhibition operation.
At the Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne in Switzerland, DTK introduced to the officials the Rolex Learning Center which is the university’s joint space between learning and venture facilities. They could learn the sophisticated design and technology of the low-energy building where the students and business people were co-existing.
Then, they visited Paul Klee Center on the lead of DTK to see how the center was operating to contribute to the society. DTK helped them to analyze this total cultural space on the operational system of seminars, events, exhibitions, and art activities.
After arrival at Germany, DTK led them to Mercedes-Benz Museum. It was a good chance to learn how the museum used its structure to manage over 1,500 items efficiently.
With support from DTK, they also participated ISH 2015 Exhibition which is one of the world’s top 3 exhibition in energy, engineering, and architect fields. Over 100 thousand people from about 50 countries participate in this exhibition biennially. In this year, it showed modern technologies and concepts related to energy efficiency, functional interior, and future-oriented architecture.
DTK expects that this visit was helpful to the officials for developing an idea of establishing an international energy exhibition building, and for understanding the trend in energy.
